Performance feedback is a written note about an employee. HR admins can enter it from Performance or from the full feedback list.
Open Performance Feedback under Performance. The list title is Employee Performance Feedbacks. The column is Name. Search reads Search.... Choose New Employee Performance Feedback to open the full form. Recent notes also appear under Continuous feedback on Performance.
Give feedback from Performance
- On Performance, choose Give feedback.
- Choose For employee. That field is required.
- Choose Reviewer (optional) when someone other than you should be named.
- Enter Feedback. That note is required. The box prompt is Recognize a win, share constructive notes, or document growth areas…
- Choose Submit.
The confirmation is Feedback submitted, and the dialog closes. Cancel discards the note. If the employee or the note is missing, the dialog stays open and says Select an employee and enter feedback. If the save does not go through, it says Failed to submit feedback and the note is not stored. Search Give Feedback to land on Performance and open the same dialog.
Use the full form
- Choose New Employee Performance Feedback.
- On Feedback, choose For Employee and Reviewer. Both are required. Employee Name and Reviewer Name fill in from those choices and stay read-only.
- Enter feedback. That note is required.
- Set Added On. That date and time is required.
- Choose Appraisal. That link is required. Appraisal Cycle, Department, Designation, Total Score, and Company stay read-only when SmoothHiring already knows them.
- Choose Create Employee Performance Feedback.
The confirmation is Employee Performance Feedback created. Open the saved record to change the note, then Save. Changes saved confirms the update. Submit files the record and says Submitted. Submit failed leaves it unsubmitted. After it is submitted, Cancel says Cancelled.
Save with nothing new says No changes to save. A missing required field names itself, for example feedback is required, and nothing is created. A failed save says Save failed. Your edits are still here.
