Employee portal settings

Employee portal settings choose what staff see when they open Self Service. Open Settings, then Employee portal. The page title is Employee portal. It says “What staff see when they open Self Service. Turn a section off if you do not use it.”

  1. Turn each section on or off.
  2. Click Save.

The sections are Schedule (“When they work, and open shifts they can claim”), Clock in and out, Time off (“Request leave, or Work From Home / On Duty”), Open shifts (“Shifts they can claim”), Shift changes (“Ask to swap or change a shift”), Approvals (“Managers only see what is waiting on them”), and Equipment (“Gear assigned to them for the day”). Equipment starts off. The others start on.

Clock in and out records time. Attendance and clocking do not create pay.

What you should see

Save says Saving… while it runs, then “Employee portal saved.” Staff see only the sections that stayed on when they open the employee portal.

If something looks wrong

“Could not load the employee portal settings” means the switches did not appear. Refresh Employee portal.

“Could not save” means the previous switches are still in effect. Set them again and click Save.
