Draft and published
A month on Assign shifts is Draft, Published, or Updates waiting. Staff see it only after you press Publish or Publish updates. Suggest assignments and weekly patterns write draft shifts only. Publishing does not create pay, and clocking in does not create pay.
- Open Assign shifts and read the chip beside the month name.
- Draft: keep assigning. Staff cannot see this month yet.
- When the draft is ready, choose Publish, then choose Publish in the dialog.
- After that, new edits become Updates waiting. Staff still see the last published version until you choose Publish updates in the dialog.
What you should see
Draft says staff cannot see this month yet. Published says staff see this month. Updates waiting says staff still see the last published version.
A first publish says the month is now visible to staff. An update says the updates are now live for staff. Email assigned staff is on in that dialog unless you turn it off. The clip turns it off and stops before the dialog button. Press Publish or Publish updates when you mean to make the month visible.
If something looks wrong
Calendar and Assign shifts still say Draft after you closed the dialog. The month was not published. Open the dialog again and press Publish or Publish updates.
Print schedule says nothing is published for that period while the chip is Draft. Publish the month, then print.
