Publish a month

Staff see a month only after you publish it. Assignments stay on Assign shifts until then. Publishing does not create pay, and it does not clock anyone in.

  1. Open Assign shifts and move to the month you want people to see. The chip should say Draft.
  2. Choose Publish.
  3. Read the summary: people, shifts, and any unfilled open shifts, missing availability, or warnings.
  4. Email assigned staff is on. Leave it on so each assigned person gets a link to their schedule. Turn it off only if you do not want email. Leave Also send a text off unless you mean to text people. It appears only when you have texts left.
  5. Choose Publish in the dialog. That is the button that makes the month visible. The clip never presses it.

What you should see

Before you publish, the subtitle says staff cannot see this month yet. After Publish, the confirmation says the month is now visible to staff, and the chip reads Published.

The dialog lists the counts for that month while it loads the summary.

If something looks wrong

The dialog says Resolve blocking conflicts before publishing. Publish in the dialog stays unavailable until those conflicts are cleared.

If you only see Publish updates, this month was already published. Use that button when you mean to replace what staff see. If neither button is on the toolbar, the month on screen is already published with no unpublished changes.
