Shift colors
Each shift type has a roster color. The color is how you tell Morning from Night on Assign shifts and on a printed schedule. Changing a color does not publish the month and does not create pay.
- Open Assign shifts.
- Click a color already on the row to open Edit shift type, or choose New shift type.
- Under Roster color, choose Blue, Teal, Orange, Violet, Rose, or Slate.
- Choose Save.
Drop that color onto an existing shift when you only want to change the color already on a day.
What you should see
The color chip on the row above the grid uses the color you saved. Dragging it onto a day assigns that shift type. The print legend uses the same colors.
The dialog title is New shift type the first time, and Edit shift type after that.
If something looks wrong
There is no color row yet. The page says Add a shift type to drag onto the grid. Choose New shift type.
Delete removes that shift type from the roster. The confirm says this cannot be undone. Keep assignments, hide from picker hides it from the row and keeps the assignments.
