# Submit a salary slip

Submit moves a draft salary slip to Submitted. It does not send money. Attendance and clocking do not submit a slip.

1. Open **Salary Slip** under Payroll. The list is titled Salary Slips.
2. Open the slip. The title is Salary Slip plus its number. Status is Draft.
3. Review Employee, Salary Structure, Posting Date, Start Date, End Date, Gross Pay, Total Deduction, and Net Pay. The Components table under Earnings & Deductions is read-only.
4. Click **Submit**.

## What you should see

While it runs, the button says **Submitting…**. A note says “Submitted.” Status becomes Submitted. **Submit** is gone. **Mark Paid** and **Cancel** remain.

The same slip is listed on the employee record under **Connections**, Pay and expenses, Pay slips. There is no add button there.

## If something looks wrong

“Only draft salary slips can be submitted.” The slip is already Submitted, Paid, or Cancelled.

“Action failed” or “Failed to load” means the slip could not be updated or opened. Refresh the page and open the slip again.

The amounts are wrong because the components table cannot be edited here. Click **Cancel**, fix the salary structure or the attendance, and generate again.
