This page is for the person completing onboarding. You do not need a password. Use the link in the email from your company.

The email subject is **Welcome — complete your onboarding**, and the button is **Open onboarding portal**. The message tells you when the link expires. A later reminder uses the same kind of link.

## Open the link

1. Choose **Open onboarding portal** in the email.
2. You should see **Opening your onboarding portal…** and then the employee portal.
3. On the home page, the **Onboarding** card says **Finish the tasks HR sent you** and shows a percent done. Choose **Continue onboarding**.
4. The page title is **Onboarding**, with the subtitle **Complete the tasks HR sent you.**

If HR has more than one onboarding open, use **Previous**, **Next**, or the name button to pick which one you are finishing.

## Complete each section

The side menu starts at **Overview** and ends at **Review & Submit**. It also shows **Documents**, **Training**, and each section your company set, such as personal information, emergency contact, and direct deposit. A check mark means that section is done.

1. On **Overview**, you should see **Welcome** with your name, and **Getting started**. Your start date is listed when HR entered one.
2. Open each form section, fill the fields, and choose **Save**. You should see **Section saved**. While it saves, the button says **Saving…**.
3. Open **Documents**. The page says **Upload the required documents for your employment.**
   - **Upload** adds a file. After a file is there, use **View** or **Replace**.
   - A photo ID opens **Capture ID Document** (or the ID type HR chose). A headshot opens **Capture Headshot**. Line up the guide, then choose **Capture**. **Upload photo** uses a picture you already have. If the camera is blocked, the page says camera access is required.
   - A signature row shows **Sign document**. That opens the signing page. See [Signing a document](/hrms/documents-compliance/signing-portal).
   - An either/or group says you can upload this document or another one in the group. **Satisfied via group** means the other document already covers it.
4. **Training** lists required courses. The page says they are assigned after you submit onboarding. When they are assigned, open the course links. **No required training on this onboarding** means this step is not part of yours.

## Submit

1. Open **Review & Submit**.
2. Every document and required field should show complete. A missing item is marked **Pending** or **Not uploaded**.
3. Choose **Submit onboarding**.
4. In the dialog, read **Submit your completed onboarding to HR for review.** Add **Note for HR (optional)** if you want, then choose **Submit**.
5. You should see **Onboarding submitted successfully**, then **Submitted** and **Your onboarding has been submitted to HR.** Overview can say **Onboarding complete**.

After that, the form is locked. The message says to contact HR if you need to make changes. If HR unlocks it, a new email says onboarding was unlocked and includes a fresh link.

## If it fails

- **Unable to open your portal** means the link is missing or not valid. The page tells you to ask HR to send portal access again. You still do not create a password.
- If the home card says your onboarding will appear once HR submits it, wait until HR sends access. The onboarding page can also say **Onboarding pending**.
- **Incomplete items** on review means mandatory sections or documents are still open. **Submit onboarding** stays unavailable until they are done. The warning says to complete all mandatory sections and upload all documents.
- **Upload failed** or **Failed to save section** means that item was not stored. Stay on the section and try **Save** or **Upload** again.
- **Submit failed** leaves the record unsubmitted. The dialog stays available so you can try **Submit** again.
- A document that says **Not uploaded** still needs a file or a signature.
