# Find your way around

The sidebar is how you move through HR. The labels below are the ones on the menu.

1. In the sidebar, choose **HR** for the overview.
2. Choose **Desktop** to open the launcher, or **Kivo** from the same top group.
3. Choose a page under the section you need. The sections and pages are listed below.
4. Choose **Settings** at the bottom of the sidebar.
5. On Desktop, choose an icon to open that area. Choose **Customize** to show or hide icons. Choose **Save** to keep the layout for your account, **Reset** to restore it, or **Cancel** to leave without saving.

## What you should see

The top of the sidebar has HR, Desktop, and Kivo. Then these sections:

- Employee Lifecycle: Employee, Employee Onboarding, Onboarding Template, Employee Document, Department, Designation.
- Leaves: Leave Application, Leave Policy, Policy Assignment, Leave Type, Leave Allocation, Leave Ledger, PTO Report.
- Shift & Attendance: Calendar, Assign shifts, Availability, Open Shifts, Shift Report, Clock station, Employee Portal.
- Travel & Benefits: Travel Request, Benefit Plan, Benefit Enrollment.
- Payroll: Salary Component, Salary Structure, Generate Salary Slip, Salary Slip.
- Expense Claims: Expense Claim.
- Lifecycle & Compliance: Employee Separation, Employee Grievance, Grievance Type, Employee Compliance, Training Program, Staffing Plan.
- Performance: Performance Hub, Goal, Appraisal, Appraisal Cycle, Appraisal Template, Performance Feedback, 1:1 Meeting, KRA.
- Recruitment: Job Opening, Job Applicant, Job Offer, Interview.
- Digital Signatures: Signature Template, Signature Request, Signature Envelope.

Settings sits on its own at the bottom.

Desktop is titled Desktop. The subtitle is Module launcher. It may also say (your layout) or (company default). While you are customizing, each icon says Hidden or Visible.

## If something looks wrong

Desktop shows a spinner until the icons load. After a save, you see Desktop layout saved for your account. After a reset, you see Desktop layout reset.

If the change does not stick, you see Could not save desktop layout or Could not reset desktop layout. Choose **Save** again, or choose **Cancel** to drop the draft.
