This page is for managers. Approve a waiting attendance request from **Approvals**. Approving records the request. It does not create pay.

![Approve attendance](/files/help/manager-review-attendance-2.mp4 "A waiting request on Attendance can be marked Approved.")

1. Open **Approvals**.
2. Choose **Attendance**.
3. On the row, open **Waiting**.
4. Choose **Approved**.

## What you should see

The row shows the person, the dates, and **Work From Home** or **On Duty**, with **Waiting**.

After **Approved**, the notice is **Attendance request approved**. That request leaves the waiting list. When the list is empty, the page says **No attendance waiting**.

## If something looks wrong

**Approved** is available from **Waiting** on an attendance row. **Leave** uses **Approved** or **Denied**. **Shift claims** uses **Approved** or **Declined**. Stay on **Attendance** for this request.

If the list is empty, there is nothing to approve. See [When nobody is waiting](/hrms/attendance/nobody-waiting).

To turn it down, see [Reject attendance](/hrms/attendance/reject-attendance).
